Alma J. Barefoot, 86, of Osterburg, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 at UPMC Altoona.

She was born on June 1, 1932 in Alum Bank; daughter of the late Lloyd and Ada (Stufft) Stambaugh.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Fred; an infant sister; sister in law, Ada; and brother in law, Dick.

She is survived by her children, R. Eugene Barefoot of Osterburg; Deborah and husband Tom Ickes of Osterburg; Vickey Corle of Osterburg; Rick and wife Pam Barefoot of Osterburg; 8 grandchildren, Amanda, James, Michael, Derek, Brittany, Brandon, Heather, and Deanna; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister, Pauline McMillen of New Paris.

Alma was a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. She also was a member of the Women of the Moose in Bedford. Alma loved to garden and loved tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed traveling and shopping. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, August 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the J. Edward Blackburn Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Monday, August 6 at 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Donna Wolfinger officiating at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Osterburg.

Interment will be held at the Pleasantville Cemetery.
