Alden W. Smith, 69, of Bedford, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at home.

He was born on Feb. 15, 1947, in Bedford, son of the late Chester and Ruth (Beegle) Smith.

He is survived by his brother Merle R. and wife Diana P. Smith of Greencastle; and nieces Karen Davis of Bethlehem and Debra Raupach of Enola.

There will be a private service at the convenience of the family.
