Laura Jane (Way) Corle, 91, of Imler, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at her home.
She was born on October 3, 1928; daughter of the late Roy T. and Lillian (Miller) Way.
On February 2, 1945, she married Elias Warren Corle, they were together for almost 72 years, he preceded her in death on January 14, 2017.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Warren; daughter, Donna Shippy; brothers and sisters, Grace Claycomb, Olive Long, Johnny Way, Ruth Callihan, Sam Way, Clair Way, Betty Whisel, Beatrice Meinhart, Roy T. Jr. (Pappy) Way, and Ivan Way.
She is survived by her children, daughter, Karen and husband John Redinger of Everett; son, Junior and wife Susan Corle of Bedford; son-in-law Warren Shippy, husband of the late Donna Shippy of Buffalo Mills; son, Rodney and wife Patsy Corle of Cessna; and daughter, Tammie and husband William Harbaugh Jr. of Alum Bank; 11 grandchildren, Christine Imler and husband Joseph Jr. of Bedford; Tina Baham of Bedford; Shelly Willison and husband Ted of Buffalo Mills; Michele Dibert and husband Dean of Everett; Melissa Snyder and husband John of Buffallo Mills; Harold Shippy of Bedford; Carrie Hartnett and husband Robert of Pittsburgh; Reggie Harbaugh and wife Jadee of New Paris; Megan Yarnell and husband Paul of Alum Bank; William Harbaugh III and fiancé Shanna Kidd of Alum Bank; and Cody Corle of Bedford;19 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren with 1 more on the way; and sister, Mary Henderson of Osterburg.
Laura was kind and loving and always treated everyone sweetly. She never let anyone leave her home hungry; everyone always had plenty to eat. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, December 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Imler. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 31 at 11 a.m. with Pastor James Neatrour officiating at the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ.
Interment will be held at the Imler Valley Cemetery.
